Control Systems Engineer – West Yorkshire
3-6 month contract (likely longer) / Outside IR35
Rate £40.00 p/h (outside IR35)
Water / Process / Coding / Testing / Allen Bradley / Commissioning
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a key client based in West Yorkshire. They operate in the design, installation, and commission of complex projects across Water, Food, Oil & Gas and Pharma. Due to ongoing projects they are looking for an experienced Controls Systems Engineer with a strong experience within the water industry to join their team on an interim basis. Initially this contract/project is for 3-6 months.
For this position, you will require to conduct the following daily duties:
- Development, modification and testing of PLC, HMI & SCADA software.
- Preparing IO Schedules from Client provided information and discussions.
- Writing detailed Function Design Specifications (FDS)
- Review documentation and software of both, work completed by self as well as others
- A degree of autonomy to manage own projects and liaising with customer.
The successful person will need to have the following attributes:
- Strong appreciation for controls systems
- Hands on experience within the water industry working on tanks, pumps, rigs etc.
- Experience programming PLCs on Allen Bradley / Mitsubishi
- Experience in full project life cycles preparing design documents through to commission
- Strong prioritisation skills and ability to manage own workload.
