ATA Raise Over £1,000 for Children’s School in 10k Obstacle Course

Derby team members Chris James, Rachel Skelton, Bethan Sullivan and Daniel Priestley took on the task of the 10k obstacle course, X-Runner, in September. Accompanied by Daniel’s girlfriend Sofia, the group lapped the 5k course twice while battling through 60 obstacles.

The efforts were in support of Bennerley Fields School for children with learning difficulties and additional needs. Our Business Development Manager, Chris James, has a child that attends Bennerley Fields and has seen first-hand the difference the school makes.

We more than doubled our £500 target and raised £1,130. Funds raised will contribute to specialist trampolines that help to improve movement and balance, promote relaxation and improves communication skills in children with physical and learning disabilities. The wheelchair-friendly trampolines are described by Bennerley Fields as crucial for progression and we are delighted to have helped towards supporting the school and its children.

Congratulations to the team for their amazing effort, and thank you for your generosity. Here’s a couple of pictures of the team fighting their way through mud, water and obstacles to complete the race.
