The Role: In this role, you will be responsible for both managing a team of project managers, as well as running your own projects from conception to completion, ensuring customer requirements are met, and overseeing the design, delivery, and budget management of projects ranging in value from £5k to upwards of £1 Million You will work closely with the Sales and Design team to ensure smooth delivery of projects and ensure they client’s needs are met at every step of the way. To be successful in this role you should be resilient, able to work well under pressure and have a drive to deliver projects to a high standard This role would be ideal for anybody who is currently a project manager, and who is looking for career progression into man management and team leadership. This role is ideally suited to an individual coming from a strong engineering background, as understanding of engineering processes, compliance, and the ability to understand technical drawings is essential. Your responsibilities will include: People management of a small team of PM’s Leading project review meetings, and gathering updates from your team on current projects being delivered Produce reports to the senior leadership team Advise your team members on solutions to complex problems Review and ensure project specifications meet customer needs. Coordinate with the engineering team to define design parameters. Manage timescales, delivery schedules, and project budgets. Review and sign-off on design drawings and material selections to ensure value engineering and technical compliance. Engage with customers to clarify project requirements. Oversee project handover from sales and ensure seamless transition to engineering and manufacturing. Oversee projects from conception to completion (cradle to grave) Ensure guidelines and regulations are adhered to Using the ERP system for planning resources Ensure proper management of customers by professional and regular communication. What we’re looking for in a candidate: Demonstrated previous engineering experience / background A solid understanding of engineering principles, Familiarity with ERP systems, Microsoft Projects, and Excel. Resilient, determined, and able to manage multiple moving parts in complex projects. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
