The Company:
A market leader in the design and manufacture of special purpose machinery sold to blue chip clients in the FMCG sector. This company provide full turnkey solutions to their customers and their products are fully automated and state of the art.
As a result of continued growth and product innovation they are looking to create a new role within the business for a controls engineer
The Role:
Working out of their UK head office in Leeds the controls engineer will be responsible for:
- Supporting design and manufacturing projects for UK customers and providing electrical and PLC expertise
- FAT and pre-commissioning of equipment (sometimes in Leeds, sometimes at their European HQ
- Providing technical support to the service engineer and direct to customers onsite
- Support the development of the service engineering department.
Required Experience:
The controls engineer role is varied and complex so this individual will need the following skillset and experience:
- The ability to fault find, interrogate with a laptop and modify Siemens and Rockwell PLC software.
- Strong electrical knowledge
- Flexibility to travel and work away from home (not excessive)
- Excellent communication skills and problem solving skills
This is aa quite unique role and could suit a factory based controls engineer, a project engineer or perhaps a service or commissioning engineer.
