Maintenance Engineer based in Stamford, Working Mon-fri Days + Callouts (1 in 6 weeks), Earning £49,000-50,000 (OTE £50K+) + Extended Holidays + Great Pension

Here at ATA, we are excited to be bringing you a fantastic opportunity working for an internationally recognised manufacturer as a maintenance engineer at their well-established site in the Stamford area.

Our client has been operating for over 70 years and during this time the business has been built to a turnover just below £1 Billion within the UK and globally with a turnover in the £ Billions. This turnover has been supported by a strong order book with our client currently producing just shy of a million tonnes highlighting how our client is in stable position within the market and increasing its market share within the UK and globally. This has been further supported by the fact that they are part of a larger group which operates in over 60 countries with over 3000 production sites.

Furthermore, our client has been in the process of further developing their sites with newer machinery, exposing the engineers to state-of-the-art automated machinery. Allowing engineers to improve their skills while also having the ability to undertake further qualifications. Therefore, this is a great opportunity for a maintenance engineer to join a company which is very secure and with multiple opportunities to progress.

The Role

As a maintenance engineer onsite, the role consists of mainly electrical work with a very small part of mechanical work being required. This would be on heavy and automated plant machinery, including hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, crushing equipment, pressure vessels and packing machines. The role includes:

  • Electrical fault finding using various methods.
  • Swapping electrical components like for like.
  • Planned maintenance.
  • Reactive maintenance
  • Small amount of mechanical work when required.
  • Completing remedial repair work in a busy manufacturing environment.

The Maintenance Engineer

  • Must have an Engineering qualification.
  • Happy to work alone and at times within an engineering team.
  • Experience Fault finding Electrically.
