Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Recycling
Based in South London – 4 Month Rolling Contract
Continental shifts – 12 hr Shifts (4 On/4 OFF) – Day and Nights
Outside IR35 £35ph
This UK market leader in recycling has a huge turnover nationally of more than £300 million with multiple sites across the UK, following the success of previous contracts a new opportunity is available. The business is now looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with an to support the current maintenance team and to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum whilst maintaining standards of a variety of equipment. The day-to-day responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will involve the following.
- Reactive maintenance will include fault finding and replacing components on a variety of mechanical machinery.
- Preventative maintenance will also be a key part of the contract.
- Swapping components on a variety of equipment such as, conveyors, shredders, bearings, bag splitters and more
The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer must possess the following skills and experience.
- Previous mechanical experience within a factory environment such as construction product manufacturing or waste management
- Mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ LVL 3 and above)
- Able to fault find and repair a wide range of mechanical components
- Experience with machining and fabrications
The benefits of this Mechanical Maintenance Engineer contract are the following.
- Established rolling 4-month contract.
- Continental shift pattern including day and nights.
- Minimum of 42 hours per week available
- Outside IR35 Pay Rate
