Second largest manufacturer in the UK in their sector holding a third of the market. The company has a huge turnover nationally in excess of £300 million with 17 sites across the UK. Following the success of previous contracts a new opportunity is available. The business is now looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support the permanent maintenance team and to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum whilst maintaining the productivity of a variety of equipment. The day-to-day responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will involve the following:
- You will be part of a maintenance team which will be tasked to keep production up and running.
- You will be involved with reactive maintenance and 10 percent will be getting involved in some projects and helping to establish and completing a PPM schedule.
- You will be working on overhead cranes, Robotics, Mixing and Curing Machinery, Conveyor systems, Kilns etc.
The Maintenance Engineer must possess the following skills and experience.
- Experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
- Mechanical engineering qualification / Apprenticeship
- Previous experience in Industrial maintenance Engineering is required (FMCG, Logistics, Manufacturing, etc)
- Able to fault find and repair a wide range of Mechanical Machinery involving Gearboxes, silos, chains, bucket elevators and conveyors.
- Must be able to pass and drugs and alcohol test
