Multi-skilled Fitter
Location- Preston
Salary- (£38,000-£45,000) Depending on experience
Shifts- Monday-Thursday (7am-5pm)
Holiday Days- 22 holiday day + 8 bank holidays (Christmas Shutdown)
OT always available on Fridays and the weekend paid at x1.5
The Company
ATA are working with a multi-site manufacturing business who specialise in their field of work supplying to some huge international clients. Due to their constant growth they’re looking for a Fitter to join their ranks.
The Role of a Multi-Skilled Fitter
Each day can be different and always working on something new this can consist of…
- Electrical and Mechanical Machine assembly
- Following schematics (Mechanical/Electrical) to assemble machinery
- Electrical wiring of circuits and relays and PLCs
- If you can Weld there will be welding of parts and frames in the workshop
- Fault finding on machinery
- Maintenance of machinery
This company have an open door policy and are very open to improvements and ideas on any projects or continuous improvements.

Requirements of the Multi-skilled Technician
- Time served or apprentice trained engineer/technician or fitter.
- Electrically or mechanically biased
- Previous experience industrially
- Someone who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
- Great problem solver.
