Project Manager
Based in Scotland
(Between Aberdeen/St Fergus and occasionally Glasgow where travel expenses will be covered)
6 Month Contract Minimum – Hybrid - ASAP
£400 per day – Ltd Company – Outside IR35
Our client has been delivering true innovation since 1959, designing and manufacturing engine silencers along with a variety of special purpose machinery predominantly to the engineering sector. They now have a great opportunity to manage and complete various projects onsite in a challenging environment.
This role of a Project Manager is a concept to completion role. If they are assigned a new project the process will be:
- Get the order from sales
- Arrange and chair meeting
- Understand the budget, liaise and manage departments working to this
- Create a project plan with realistic, specific timings, deliverables and dates
- Plan approval, communicate the dates to the various departments including
- Customer communication.
- Making sure all the relevant documentation is in place
- Working with and overseeing the site installation with that team
- Working on multiple projects at any one time – from £5k to £1m
- Working on anything from 10-15 small projects to 2-3 big projects at any one point
- Lease with multiple clients on a commercial level, to understand and go through contracts commercially with clients
Within the projects there are:
- Fabrications – of varying sizes and complexity
- Machined parts
- Assembly
- Filters and exhaust stacks
- Electrical systems
- MS Project
- Forecasting, budget, revenue
Qualifications:
Ideally time served with a HND / HNC, Mechanical Engineering background
