Project Manager 

Based in Leicester – 3 Month Contract Minimum – Immediate Start

£350 - £400 per day – Ltd Company – Outside IR35  

Our client is one of the UK’s leading manufacturing companies. They have two sites in the UK and are passionate about excellence and provide outstanding services to clients across the UK. They now have a great opportunity to manage and complete a project onsite in a challenging environment. 

This role of a Project Manager will include the following: 

Rebuild the Plant: Oversee structural repairs and facility restorations, including ceilings and other building components.

Mechanical and Electrical (M&E): Manage the reinstallation and repair of systems, focusing on replacing conveyor systems and bag splitters.

Contractor Management: Supervise day-to-day contractor activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.

Budgeting: Develop and manage the budget for the rebuild. Track costs to maintain financial control.

Project Planning: Develop and maintain project schedules using Gantt charts, adjusting as needed.

Site Management: Oversee debris removal and non-recyclable material disposal. Coordinate with insurance for cleaning and material replacement.

Staff Coordination: Manage the project team and coordinate with plant staff for smooth operations during reconstruction. 

The Project Manager must possess the following skills & experience:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in industrial projects, preferably in  manufacturing with exposure to a wide range of conveyor systems.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (M&E).
  • Experience with facilities management and building construction.
  • Excellent contractor management and budgeting skills.
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations and experience with Gantt charts.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities. 

Qualifications:

  • Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
  • Experience with industrial plant installation and refurbishment
