NDT Level 2 Inspector Coventry £16.85 an hour plus 1.5x Overtime The Company Our client is part of a 350 strong group with several sites around the globe. The UK site employs 70 staff with an annual turnover of £11.5 million specialising in the machining of precision parts for the Aerospace sector. The business has grown from £5 million in the past ten years more than doubling its’ revenue showing just how ambitious and successful the company is. The company carry out a range of precision machining process including turning, milling and grinding and boast an enviable quality record with on time delivery and quality in excess of 99% seeing them ranked as one of the top suppliers to their major customer. The business is currently looking to add an NDT Level 2 Inspector to the team who will be focussed on Fluorescent Penetrant and Magnetic Particle Inspection. The Role This NDT Level 2 Inspector role will be carrying out Fluorescent Penetrant and Magnetic Particle Inspection on a wide range of precision machined aerospace parts. Your role will be to: Test the parts against relevant customer standards Asses results to see if the precision parts pass or qualify against set standards Compile test reports with key findings Coordinate the calibration of NDT equipment when required Hours of work – 6am – 3:45pm Monday to Thursday The Candidate To be successful in your application for this NDT Level 2 Inspector role you will need: A background in carrying out Fluorescent Penetrant and Magnetic Particle NDT Testing A strong attention to detail To be a methodical worker who enjoys working to set standards Happy working a Monday to Thursday 6am to 3:45pm shift pattern The Benefits For this NDT Level 2 Inspector role the following benefits are on offer: A long weekend! They are a large Global Aerospace business based in Birmingham who have been established for over 50 years. Our client supplies various aerospace products to some of the largest OEMs and governments in the world. This well-known and large global Aerospace manufacturing group have recently acquired a number of large contracts. Our client currently makes a significant profit a quarter, this is an excellent time to join a large manufacturing group with strong backing from large American manufacturing group. Overview Maintenance Supervisor Role Responsibility for supporting the growth of the manufacturing operations across Europe, implementing maintenance procedures & continuous improvement processes to streamline and shape manufacturing capabilities, keeping downtime to a minimum. Managing teams ranging from 8 – 10 You will be working in a heavy industry environment working on foundry equipment, furnaces, large presses, plasma welding equipment, vacuum systems and forge furnaces. • Recording spares used for re-order • Carrying out safe isolation of plant to permit requirements • Completing condition-based monitoring schedules • Part of a TPM team to continuously improve plant Carrying out planned preventative maintenance schedules Carrying out planned maintenance work • Isolation of plant under a permit to work Maintenance Supervisor duties Working on Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Replacing components like for like on large heavy industrial equipment. Fault finding mechanically on all factory equipment. Reading equipment drawing Carry out immediate repairs of production equipment and machines in the case of breakdowns with regards to all elements of failure, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic etc., representing Production areas The Candidate The Maintenance Supervisor formally qualified in mechanical or electrical and knowledge of hydraulics are ideal for this role. Experience working in a heavy industry will be preferred but not essential. Ability to work to strict deadlines HQSE experience The Benefits Salary - £59,000 Our client currently has bonus scheme paying out every quarter. Excellent overtime available. Will look at candidates who are in engineering roles and want to step up into leadership in the future.
