Based in West Yorkshire, Leeds, Bradford area

4 on 4 off days and nights

33 Days Holiday

The Company:

A specialist manufacturer of bespoke equipment for the FMCG industry, this company is well established and have invested heavily in machinery upgrades and site automation projects.

In addition to this they are looking to develop their maintenance department and add further resource. As a result of this they are looking for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join the team.

The Role:

The multi-skilled maintenance engineer will conduct planned and reactive maintenance activities across a large and diverse manufacturing plant, on a wide range of complex and bespoke machinery.

  • The role involves both electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Electrically the maintenance engineer will be working on single and 3 phase systems, control panels, inverters, drives, relays, and safety circuits.
  • Mechanically you will be working on conveyors, motors, pumps, valves, hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • You will be working on all the latest robotics and automation 
  • Most of the equipment is PLC controlled and there is training available to upskill all engineers up to programming level

Required Experience:

  • The ideal multi-skilled maintenance engineer will be apprentice trained with a NVQ 3 in electrical or mechanical engineering as a minimum.
  • You will have experience within an industrial manufacturing environment, ideally FMCG.
  • You must have electrical and mechanical fault finding and diagnostic skills.
  • This is a unique and diverse plant so you will have a to learn a lot of new machines and systems so it is very important that you can think on your feet and pick things up quickly.
