Fabricator

13-week (Temporary to Permanent)

Up to £16 per hour PAYE + £1.93 per hour holiday pay.

Monday to Friday shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, providing a stable work-life balance.

Are you an experienced Fabricator looking for a new opportunity to showcase your skills? Look no further! Our client is a leading mechanical turnkey solutions provider, specialising in design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance services. They have established themselves as industry leaders, catering to a diverse clientele across various sectors including food, materials handling, and structural steel.

As a Fabricator, you will play a pivotal role in our fabrication and plating processes, primarily working with mild steel for structural steel works.

Your responsibilities as a Fabricator will include:

  • Fabricating and plating parts to exact specifications.
  • Parts include vessels, pipework, balustrades, walkways, and handrails.
  • Working with parts ranging in thickness up to 30-40mm.
  • Welding fabricated and basic structural components with precision.
  • Utilising a wide range of fabrication machines including press, bending, and cutting machines
  • Based within a workshop environment, some site-based work may be required

What the company are looking for in a Fabricator: 

  • A strong background in a heavy metal fabrication processes.
  • Previous experience in a similar industry, demonstrating proficiency in fabrication and welding techniques.
  • A welding / fabrication qualification
  • Able to work from engineering drawings
  • Hard worker
  • Demonstrable desire and ability to learn
  • A proactive approach
