Role: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Welwyn Garden City
Salary: £50,000 - £52,000 + Overtime
Shifts: Three Shift (Earlies, Lates and Nights – Monday to Friday)

Our Client are a global manufacturing business with multiple sites in the UK that have been established for nearly 100 years. With multiple long standing contracts and a growing order book, this business can offer fantastic stability and a long term career for the right Maintenance Engineer. The business is now investing in increasing the automation of the site and there are multiple projects ongoing that you will have the opportunity to work on and provide input for.
With a strong Maintenance team on site you will be working alongside a shift partner and senior Engineers too. The Engineering Manager is implementing a culture where knowledge is shared and Engineers help each other to better themselves and the site. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Engineer who is looking for a role with plenty of project work where ideas for improvements are encouraged.
The Role:
The Role of Maintenance Engineer will include the following responsibilities:
- Maintaining all of the production machinery on site including Conveyors, Labelling Machines, Fillers and Silos
- Working Mechanically with: Pumps, Gearboxes, Motors, Shafts, Seals, Chains, Pulleys, Chains, Hydraulics and Pneumatics
- Completing Electrical Maintenance on components such as: Sensors, Relays, Contactors, Invertors, Three Phase Motors,
- Fault Finding on PLCs to Input Output Level
- Working on Projects with the support of Senior Engineers and the Maintenance Engineering team
The Candidate:
The Right Candidate for the Role of Maintenance Engineer will have/be:
- A Recognised Engineering Qualification
- Be confident Fault Finding Electrically and Mechanically
- Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer working on Machinery
- Willing to undertake projects to improve the machinery
- Work well within a team environment and be happy to share knowledge with others
