Manchester / Liverpool / Chester / Warrington / Wigan

Initial 3 month contract / Outside IR35

£35.00p/h - £40.00p/h (DOE)

Bespoke Machinery / Capital Equipment / Pneumatics / Solidworks

I am recruiting for a well-established supplier of bespoke machinery to world leading manufacturing companies. Due to ongoing projects in the business, they are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer on an interim basis. Initially there is a commitment of 3 months, but this is very likely to be extended due to project scope for a successful candidate:

For the position of Mechanical Design Engineer, you will require to conduct the following daily duties:

  • 3D modelling, design and detailing using Solidworks
  • Working on bespoke machinery such as fillers, rotary equipment. Cappers etc.
  • Creating accurate BOMs
  • Customer meetings where necessary
  • Report into the design team lead

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will need to have the following attributes:

  • Strong appreciation of pneumatics, capital equipment and bespoke machinery
  • Expert in the use and knowledge of Solidworks
  • An astute professional, with the ability to excel within a design team
  • A team player, who can work on their own when necessary and strives for excellence
