Our client:
We are working with a key client who are a heavy material, process handling & capital equipment engineering and installation company, based out of Yorkshire. We are recruiting for and experienced Project Planner, on a key customer site in London for a minimum of a 5-month contract, on a major process site upgrade.
The Project Planner will be responsible day to day for the following:
- Drive the programme – make sure it gets done
- Pushing the Site Manager to makes sure work scope is on track
- Hold all stakeholders and sub-contractors accountable for what they need to do
- Update MS projects programme
- High support and input in all coordination meetings
- Updating client & sub-contractors on any changes/updates
- If behind, make all that needs to know aware – what are the solutions?
- Highlight any potential risks to Site Manager / Project Manager
- Managing sub-contractors to make sure they are on-time and get their part done
The successful candidate Project Planner will have the following attributes:
- 5-10 years ideally as a Project Planner on £multi-million programmes
- Experience in heavy engineering / capital equipment industries – power / chemical / process manufacturing (NOT building/commercial/residential construction)
- Qualified to foundation level minimum, in Engineering/Project planning or management
- Site safety passport (CSCS/CCNSG)
- Highly proficient with MS Projects & Office
- Strong communication skills, with a keen eye for Health, Safety and Quality
- Ability to travel or be commutable to London / flexible working
- Ability to work 10-hour shifts (7am-5pm), with weekend working also during shutdown period
