Field Service Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Location: Home based, Idealy from West, North or South Yorkshire (M62 Corridor)

Areas Covered – Working from home and travel nationwide

Basic salary: £40-45k DOE + 8% Matched pension + 20% Bonus + Work from home + Excellent training programmes

On target earnings: £50-55k!

Monday to Friday – 35hour week

The day to day: 
The Field Service Engineer role involves ensuring the safe and timely delivery of allocated work, reporting completion to company procedures and the satisfaction of the customer and company. Jobs are typically assigned 3-4 weeks in advance. The main responsibilities of the role include attending breakdowns, PPM’s, installing, various company products. You will be working from home 50% and 50% staying away and travelling nationwide.

Attend breakdowns and conduct service, installation, and commissioning of products.

  • Ensure safe and timely delivery of work.
  • Working with various pumps, pipes, hydraulics.
  • Liaise with sales for specification of new systems
  • Provide technical support
  • Reading engineering schematics and drawings.

A successful Field service engineer application will have:

This role would suit an industrial maintenance engineer ideally from a process/heavy background, however not essential. My client is looking for experience of working on pipework, hydraulics, pumps, valves.

  • My client will review all applications from Engineers looking to move into a service role or already in a similar role looking for a new challenge
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • Happy to travel and be flexible where required
  • The ability to read and interpret schematics drawings
  • Ideally from a chemical/process engineering background
  • Experience on pumps, pipework and valves
